Meditative Sapce

St. Giles welcomes you to enjoy our quiet spots for meditation, reflection, and prayer.

  • The labyrinth, installed in 2012, is open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year, and is located on the south end of the property behind the education building. A weather-proof plastic box, mounted on a pole at the southwest corner of the building, offers guides for using the labyrinth and a journal to record your impressions.
  • The Memorial Garden (opposite the main front doors of the church on the west side) was established in the 1970s for the burial of the cremated remains of parishioners and others. It is a beautifully landscaped, quiet place with spots to sit and reflect, and pathways to stroll and commune with the Divine. It, too, is open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.
  • The Prayer Room is an indoor space for individual reflection and prayer, spiritual direction, and small group prayer and study. It is furnished with chairs, tables, books and magazines, artwork, and other things of a religious/spiritual nature. Make a cup of tea; listen to music. The Prayer Room is located at the south end of our education building, just inside the door from the labyrinth.

If you have questions, or would like to reserve the Prayer Room, please phone the church office (847-272-6622) or email us. Donations for the use of these spaces are received gratefully, but not required.
